It has excellent climate because of that during their period British people acquired the area and built houses and rest houses and other institutions. The old churches, the Graham's home, the Morgan House, golf course are some of them. Now days it has become havens of boarding schools and tourists throng to this place from all over the world. After checking in the Hotel you would be taken for local sightseeing to visit Dr. Graham's Home (It takes less than an hour to walk from the town centre up through stands of bamboo to Dr Graham's Home, which was founded in 1900 on the lower slopes of Deole Hill). Overnight stay in Kalimpong Hotel.

Day 04: Gangtok

Trip to Tsongo lake/Sri Harbajan Baba Mandir/Nathulla pass.

The day starts at around 7am, traveling around 35 km to reach Tsongo lake (pronounced as"Changoo" lake). Narrow roads, steep heights, zigzag curves and deep valleys make this a daring trip and all around greeneries, beautiful rare flowers and Yaks on both sides of the road turn this an unforgettable journey. Tsongo Lake is an oval shaped lake with a deep of 50 feet and area of 1 km. Most interesting thing about this lake is that it will be totally frozen during January to April just like the Dal Lake in Srinagar. Nathulla Pass: India-China border, where the ancient silk route once passed through, is 14200 ft above sea level. You need a special permission from the Indian Army to visit this area. Shri Baba Harbajan Mandir:This temple , devoted to a Sikh army soldier is around 52 km away from Gangtok city. (Nathulla Pass-depend on special permission from the Indian Army).Overnight stay at Gangtok Hotel.

To visit the above places the visitor must get valid pass from Sikkim police and tourism dept. Besides, to visit Nathulla Pass the visitor should have a special permission from the Indian Army. So, to help us to arrange these passes, you have to submit with us copies of ID –proof and recent passport size photographs. Also carry sufficient winter cloths, like sweater, jackets, winter head and ear gears, etc. If you are not medically fit or have height problems do not travel to the above said destinations or wind up the journey at Tosongo Lake and back to Gangtok. Gangtok is a no smoking area and one should respect the law of the land. Nathulla Pass would be off bound for visitors on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Day 05: Gangtok-Darjeeling

In the morning after break fast check out from Gangtok hotel to proceed for Darjeeling at 100km away and 4 hrs journeying and check in to the hotel there. If you so wish, you can make a short trip by the world famous toy train of Darjeeling. Shopping in Darjeeling will be a superb experience as it offers you a wide variety of items representing different cultures and lifestyles. The clean air of Darjeeling would give you soothing freshness as you plunge into slumber.

Day 06: Darjeeling

'Sun and Moon never wait for us'- So your sight seeing starts pretty early at 3.30 am for a spectacular sunrise at Tiger Hill, the majestic Kanchenjunga range and the Everest peak that would never go from your memory. Tiger Hill is the highest mountain point at Darjeeling. On the way back, a visit at Ghoom Monastery (ESTD. in 1875) and the Gorkha War Memorial would be a different experience. Batasia Loop and beautiful gardens around it would exalt the coexistence of the nature and the technology. Batasia Loop is the ancient technology to adjust the deep height/slope of the hill railway track for the smooth running of the trains. After breakfast at the hotel, you would proceed for sightseeing at various spots like the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, the Zoo, Tenzing Rock, Labong Race Course, Tea Gardens, Rock garden & Ganga Maya Park, etc. Dont forget to pen down the marvelous thoughts for a nostalgic future, before going to the bed back in the hotel.

Day 07: Departure

After Breakfast, you will check out from the hotel. We will transfer you to NJP Railway station or Bagdogra Airport. You would enjoy the beauty of nature once again during your 3 to 3-5 hours of drive en route to NJP/ Bagdogra down the hill.

As you go home let the everlasting memory of the Queen of the Hill Stations linger on in your mind.
